Welcome to the Jersey Penguins new website!
After one year inactive the Jersey Penguins will be skating teams at all levels in the NJYHL for the 2010/11 season at Rock Ice Center.
The Penguins and Rock Ice Center are under new management.
Karl J. Schmidt is the new President of the Jersey Penguins. He is responsible for all operational and organizational decisions affecting the club. Karl was born in Central NY and played hockey from Mite through high school. He is currently the Treasurer and a Board member of the Chatham Youth Hockey program. He recently completed three years as a Board member and Secretary of the New Jersey Colonials and was the Colonials delegate to the NJYHL. He is active in community affairs, sitting as a Trustee of a local foundation and on the Chatham Board of Adjustment. He graduated Cornell University and has a career in finance.
John Puskar, III is the owner and operator of Rock Ice Center since August, 2009. John has made many improvements to Rock Ice and has been running a number of exciting programs and clinics at Rock Ice. John is well known to many in the hockey community from his time as Head Coach of Morristown-Beard Mens Varsity Hockey and as Managing Partner of Twin Oaks Ice Rink. He is committed to maintaining a first class facility at Rock Ice Center.
